FQBC Biogas to Power Project
The FQBC Biogas to Power Project is an anaerobic digestion facility that converts broiler manure into renewable electricity through a Combined Heat and Power (CHP) system. Developed for a farmers' cooperative representing more than 4 million broilers, the project transforms poultry manure into clean energy exported to MERALCO under a long-term Power Purchase Agreement (PPA), while improving sustainable manure management and promoting a circular economy.
Environmental Impact
Provides an environmentally sound solution for proper poultry manure disposal, reduces methane emissions, generates renewable electricity for the grid and produces nutrient-rich organic fertilizer.
